Yangzab Outer, Inner and Secret Chenrezig
Drubpon Trinley Nyingpo Rinpoche will be giving the precious empowerment, reading transmission, and instructions on the practice of Chenrezig (Avalokiteshvara) from the Yangzab Terma treasure cycle. This particular practice of Chenrezig is very unique in that it includes the rare outer, inner, and secret sadhanas of the deity Chenrezig. There is also a magnificent commentary on this that presents the practice from the simplest perspectives of the vajrayana generation stage all the way to the highest realization of Dzogchen.

Mahamudra Pointing Out Instructions from the Words of Vajradhara
Rinpoche will be teaching from the extensive mahamudra chapter included in the famous Words of Vajradhara Dharmakirti: A Record of Instructions on Five-Fold Mahamudra by the 17th century meditation master, Lho Trinley Namgyal. These instructions have been the main mahamudra instructions received and practiced in Drigung Kagyü three year retreats for centuries. We are extremely fortunate to be able to receive these from a retreat master who has received and realized such traditional training. Some of the main topics included in these extremely profound mahamudra instructions are: Calm Abiding, Special Insight, Becoming Certain about the Various Appearances of the Mind, Cutting Through Misconceptions About the Energy of the Ground, Introduction to the Nature of the Mind, Introduction to the Coemergence of Thoughts, Introduction to the Coemergence of Appearances, Introduction to the Coemergent Nature of Mind, Explanation of the Faults of Meditation, Recognizing the Fresh Ordinary Mind, Way to Take Things on to the Path, Four Yogas of Mahamudra, and Enhancing Realization.

Tuesday June 21st – Thursday June 23rd
The Six Dharmas of Naropa, Master of Siddhas
Rinpoche will be teaching from the Six Dharma Instructions of Naropa, Great Master of Siddhas by the 17th century meditation master, Rigdzin Chökyi Dragpa, root teacher of Lho Trinle Namgyal. This text clearly presents the heart essence of the famous profound path of the Six Dharmas of Naropa. This text begins with the preliminary trainings on the channels, winds, and bindus. Then, there are the main practices of the Six Dharmas of Naropa. These consist of the four root dharmas and the two branch dharmas. The four root dharmas are the practices of inner fire (tummo), luminosity (ösal), dreams (milam), and the illusory body (gyulü). The two branch dharmas are that of transference (phowa) and the in-between state (bardo). Inner fire practice utilizes the navel chakra, taking our breath and sexual energy onto the path. Luminosity practice utilizes the heart chakra, taking the state of deep sleep onto the path. The practice of dreams or dream yoga utilizes the throat chakra, taking the state of dreaming onto the path. Illusory body practice utilizes the crown chakra, taking the waking state onto the path. The practice of transference allows one to transform the time of death into enlightenment. In this Drigung Kagyü Six Dharmas of Naropa tradition, there are three unique types of transference presented to attain enlightenment in the dharmakaya, sambhogakaya, and nirmanakaya. This is different than the more common traditions of transference. Finally, there are the bardo instructions to help one navigate and attain enlightenment in the state after death if necessary. Together the Six Dharmas of Naropa present a swift path that allows one to practice throughout all states of reality to attain enlightenment. We are very fortunate to be able to receive such profound instructions from a retreat master like Drubpön Trinley Nyingpo, who has taken these practices to heart.

Community Housing
We have created a network of community housing to make it less expensive for those coming from afar. Community housing usually ranges from $20-30 per night. The housing will be very close to the retreat site. Other housing options can be found on our website at www.ddcv.com

Ride pickups
For those coming from afar we provide ride pickups from Burlington, VT, which is the closest location for airport, bus and train service. We either arrange a ride with someone else coming in who will have a vehicle or we can arrange a ride for $25, Lincoln is about 50 minutes from Burlington, VT.
