By request of the students of Lama Sangye Monlam's Ma Gyud course,
Yongdzin Tenzin Namdak Rinpoche will give a Ma Gyud (mother tantra)
initiation (wang, empowerment) in Europe in summer 2013.

The place will be Shenten Dargye Ling in France, the time around July
or August -- the precise date will be fixed in spring 2013.

When I asked if it would be OK to announce this to the world at large,
Rinpoche said, while the empowerment is primarily meant for Ma Gyud
practitioners who have already received some instructions and are doing
the practice, he will give the wang to anyone who seriously wishes it.

Those who are not yet Ma Gyud practitioners, but wish to recieve the
wang, are asked to prepare by reciting the Ma Gyud root manta. Details

Those who wish to become Ma Gyud practitoners are invited to attend
Lama Sangye's Ma Gyud teachings in Graz March 23-29, 2013.

Since Rinpoche phrased his promise to give the Ma Gyud wang in the
following terms "If I am alive and healthy enough to come to Europe,
I promise I will give it", it is perhaps not amiss for Ma Gyud
practitioners to step up their practice and practice intensively
in preaparation for the wang and to create favorable circumstances.

Do not inundate Shenten with questions about the date; it is not
known yet. At the moment we can say: in summer, July or August,
possibly after the summer retreat. As soon as the date is fixed,
